Depending on growing conditions, many plants can
grow into both shrubs and small trees. Shrubs
and bushes can be both deciduous and coniferous.
Many shrubs have small branches with many leaves growing
close together and are often pruned into shapes and
figures. Subshrubs is a term given to some of
the smaller, low growing shrubs.
