Description
Originating in the southwestern United States of America,
the Two-winged Silverbell (Halesia diptera),
is a species of large shrub. It is also known as the
Two-winged Snowdrop Tree.
This shrub is deciduous with leaves growing to lengths
of 12 cm, and widths of 7 cm. The Two-winged Silverbell
shrub itself grows to an average height of 6 meters,
and to a maximum height of about 8 meters.
Two-winged Silverbell flowers are small, about
2 cm long, but grow in clusters of 3 to 6 flowers. This
shrub also produces fruit which is distinctive due to
the two wings that grow down the sides.
